My story: I have been a skater for most of my life. My father was both a skater and a judge and from a very young age I knew that I wanted to skate. I trained in the Winter Club of St. Catharines and later the the Toronto Cricket Skating and Curling club. I competed in singles, pairs and ice dancing. I was fortunate to represent Canada at the North American and World Championships in 1969.

Coaching Career: In 1969 I decided to turn professional and begin my coaching career. My first summer was spent at the Town of Mount Royal and in the fall of 1969, I began coaching in the Dundas Figure Skating Club. I have also coached in St. Catharines, Flamborough, Niagara Falls New York, Burlington and Oakville. My wife and I successfully operated the Dundas Valley Skating School for 25 years. I retired from coaching in 2011. Forty-two years is a long time in the arena.
